Fifteen years later

Fifteen years have passed since the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country.

More people were killed in the attacks (2,996) than at Pearl Harbor (2,402).  To say that no nation state was responsible simply does not make sense.  Congress just passed a law allowing the families of those who died to sue the countries that they feel are responsible.  Our president is reported to have threatened to veto the act.

It seems that we are still in danger because of the beliefs of a group of people that are determined to exterminate us.

Are they a religious group, or an economic one, or are they a political one?

Either way we have to find a way to remove their threat.

I pray that a solution can be found.

We deserve better

If we had turned the Arabian peninsula into trinitite the next day, we wouldn’t be fighting these barbaric savages now.

If we (the British) hadn’t arbitrarily carved up the Middle East in 1921 we probably wouldn’t be talking about this now. There is a phenomenon called blowback. There are no simple answers to complex problems.

Excellent response! Well done! Let’s kill millions of people to remove a threat of about 30,000. Very Rambo! Very John Wayne! The subtle way of that approach is amazing. Nicely done job of removing all the shades of gray and just seeing the black and white.

And we still wonder why the world thinks the US is bully.

Seems to me the ISIS threat did not exist 15 years ago…it only arose after we went into that area…

          And Iraq…Libya…Syria…Afghanistan…

But the Taliban and Al Qaeda did arise, if not there before. ISIS seems to come out of the displaced Sunis in Iraq armed with weapons from Hillary’s adventure in Libya.

Vaporize Arabia. 2 billion butts instantly directionless.

You skipped right over GWB’s adventure in Iraq and the role that played in destabilizing Iraq and “displacing” the Sunnis which were aligned with Hussein.

You also forget that many of the weapons used against us in Afghanistan were the arms we provided to the Taliban to use against Russia.

GWB and Cheney also said that Iraqi oil would also pay the tab for money we spent to invade Iraq.

            We never learn.
