More trouble with the Arena

Not that it is any of our business, but city council has an executive session item on its Tuesday, May 2, 2017 agenda.

Multipurpose Cultural and Performing Arts Facility – Francis S. Ainsa, Jr., April 17, 2017 letter; Matter No. 17-1001-171 (551.071)

Mr. Ainsa is a prominent lawer in El Paso.

Evidently he has something going on that council wants to discuss in private.

We deserve better

As a doctor, Noe should know that the first rule of medicine is “do no harm.” Same applies in government.

And city leaders are actually going on record to say that they will build this $180,000,000++++ arena AROUND the one property holdout?! Just watch, they WILL EMPLOY eminent domain if given the chance. I for one if elected will do everything possible to keep the arena from happening, in Duranguito at the very minimum.

In a town that is, as a friend of mine used to say, “All hat, no cows”, a town that already has an vacant, un-usued ball field (Cohen Stadium), an “Olympic sized” swimming pool that fizzled out, another new baseball field that is un-used most of the time, bikes that no one rides on bike lanes that no one uses, soon to have trolley system that goes no where, busses that no one rides, all we really need is a big assed arena that will cost the taxpayers an arm and a leg.
