More bad news

Well the numbers are unfortunately in.

For those that live within the EPISD geographic boundaries you will see a substantial increase in tax rates from every one of your taxing entities except the county.

The increases are interesting:

  • El Paso Community College District       4%
  • City of El Paso                                              5%
  • El Paso Independent School District      6%
  • El Paso County Hospital District             6.4%

The county will not impose a tax increase on us this year.  Maybe we should get some of our other elected officials to run for congress.

We deserve better

  1. More Money To Fund High Paid 'Consultants' says:

Our taxes go to stupidity. EPISD hires a superintendent with no experience who then hires executives with no experience which is what he said in the Times and on KTSM this morning. Then he and former board member Fenenbucks hires Crooked Consultant from California to show them how to do their jobs to the tunes of several hundred thousand dollars a year and to steer corrupt business deals with corrupt bond money they rooked El Paso into voting for. Now every entity is raising property taxes! Talk about screwing El Paso over!

So we can expect the women’s faculty restroom door on the second floor of the C building at Coronado High School to be fixed? Broken since before the semester began and reported to everyone and still the door and jam are so bad women are afraid to use the only toilet they have. Use some of the increase to fix this!

If you are over 65 or disabled then fill out the form at EPCAD to stop paying property taxes. They will get your house after those on the deed die but what the hell you will have paid the value in taxes by then. Enjoy your tax dollars now and let them have the damn house.

The average wage increase in the U.S. for 2017 is 3%.

Social Security recipients will receive a .3% increase.

The general inflation rate is 1.6%.

    We’re getting screwed.

What percent of interest will a homeowner be charged per year, if one elects to follow your suggestion?

All were warned of this by me and many others…

Time to pony up and pay your quart of blood and your pound of flesh.

Oh, and don’t forget to include the silver coin for the ferryman to cross into the “New Face of Education”!

    Enjoy the chaos.
Enjoy the lack of productive education for our children.
Enjoy the coming orgy of construction contracts to combine our elementary and middle schools into K-8’s so that we can learn AGAIN, the hard way that this does ZERO to aid in the education of the children!
Enjoy having a superintendent intent on trying everything and anything on our kids as long as it fits into the accepted political agenda and comes from southern California while we pay him more than the president! (and pay obscene amounts of money to these out of state companies).

My uncle once told me that during the Vietnam War, new soldiers coming into units there were often greeted by the phrase, “Welcome to the Suck!”

    Let’s see:

Organizations with alternative agendas and views toward education and politics swoop in (by local admin invitation) to infuse their views and methods upon the indigenous population by force (district policy: Obey and appear to enjoy obeying or be fired). They impose a massive and often confusing fluid administrative structure with zero sharing of information, direction, or sense of mission to the “troops”. All the while tricking the locals to fund the entire thing!

Kind of like the Vietnam War (except the funding part).

So, EPISD students, parents, and tax payers in general:

    “WELCOME TO THE SUCK!”
