Item 14.1 on today’s (Tuesday, December 12, 2017) city council agenda reads:
We can’t speak for the public as a whole but wouldn’t it be nice to know how much money they city is thinking of putting into this project so that public comment would be better informed?
We deserve better
Brutus
The El Taxo POLITICIANS don’t want us “Stupid ignorant peons” to be INFORMED. IF WE were INFORMED, WE would do recalls on ALL of THEM. They will continue to drag all these carpetbaggers from out side of El Taxo and FORCE the people, TAXPAYERS to buy, pay for whatever they want. El Taxo is BROKE, BILLIONS$$$ in debt and no way to pay for it all. It’s all just another Property “Value” INCREASE, followed by ANOTHER tax INCREASE. Doubt that ANY of the local POLITICIANS pay any taxes here.

So you have to drive downtown and search for parking near the Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Department (Orwell would have loved that name) in order to read this proposal??? How many working El Pasoans have time for that? Anyone remember when city departments were in one building and there was free public parking available???

and the “city parking” in this new public/private partnership development will also not be free

Could it possibly be that the ‘City Father’s (or as sometime known ‘them City Mother’s) just don’t give a damn what it costs? Hell, all they got to do to raise money is raise taxes some more.

You got it exactly right. THEY don’t care how much anything cost, because THEY will TAKE the money from US “Stupid , ignorant peons”. THEY will give the carpetbaggers, out-of-towners MILLIONS$$ in tax cuts. THEY will get it all back with Campaign “Donations” in their back pockets. THEY have the same attitude towards taxes as the gangster Al Capone. “Taxes, we ain’t paying no taxes”.. “WE increase the TAXES on the “Stupid, ignorant peons”. More than a BILLION$$$ in debt and continuing to increase it all. Just one big political Cartel in El Taxo.

More carpetbagging. Does anyone really think that it’s a coincidence that Dori Fennenbock pushed for EPISD to relocate its headquarters downtown at a time when her relatives are investing in multiple properties downtown?
