When did it become our responsibility to feed our neighbor’s children?
The kids aren’t even in school.
EPISD is not unusual–it seems that all of our local school districts are doing this.
In the case of EPISD they are distributing 33,000 meals a day that are free to their students.
Yes the feral government is reimbursing them.
We all know who reimburses the feds.

If you say anything about it, the return is, “What? You’d make kids go hungry?” If you bring up that it wasn’t the school’s responsibility to feed kids when you were young but the parents’ expect, “OK Boomer.”
BIg Ag loves these programs. But in the 1950s and 60s, there weren’t so many latch key kids.

When did it become my responsibility to pay for an El Paso Police Department code compliance officer to have a shiny, city pick-up truck that he can drive home every night?
When did it become my responsibility to pay for a ballpark for a privately owned sports business?
When did it become my responsibility to fund a for-profit water park resort, which the city would have done if the company hadn’t backed out?
When did it become my responsibility to subsidize real estate development?

You do realize the schools always feed kids during the summer? And anyway the kids ARE still in school. Online learning is actually a thing, not just EPISD propaganda.
