The city’s website lists the following ballot language for the third proposition:
SHALL SECTION 3.19 OF THE CITY CHARTER BE AMENDED, RELATING TO PROHIBITION OF THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN RESIDENTIAL SECTIONS OF THE CITY: TO PROVIDE THAT THIS PROHIBITION DOES NOT APPLY TO AREAS ZONED AS MIXED USE DEVELOPMENTS?
I have not figured this one out but suspect that the city has discovered that the smart code that they have been so agressively pushing onto developers has a problem with having a neighborhood bar as the charter now stands.
Again, I would prefer that they tell us the specific language that they propose.
Please think about this and then vote in May.
We deserve better

Question – what if the ordinance currently prohibits them from selling beer at the new stadium because of the apartments and homes across the street?

Good thought Bill! That may be an underlying reason for Prop 3.
