September 17 is Constitution Day.
On September 17, 1787 the delegates to the constitutional convention signed their finished document.
We hope that our teachers will take a moment to explain this to their students.
Originally the Constitution had seven articles. Articles 1, 2, and 3 described the powers and working of the three branches of government.
We hope that our citizens will take a moment to remind our elected officials that the Constitution exists.

The radical Left wants to do away with the Constitution, especially the 2nd amendment and religious freedom. Then, get rid of the Senate since is is “undemocratic” in how it distorts representation, i.e., WY has the same number of senators as CA. The fact that it was written by white males (and sometimes slave-holders) makes it even more odious to the ANTIFA and BLM types.
Be afraid, be very afraid because there are many people in the US who have no knowledge of history and tyranny to appreciate the protections, checks and balances built into that marvelous document.

The “radical Left,” you say? Be afraid, very afraid because their are people in the White House who have no knowledge of history or the Constitution, who oppose the free press, and who would like for the U.S. to be a dictatorship with no checks or balances. Be afraid, very afraid of GOP members of Congress, who are unwilling to check POTUS for fear of losing votes in November.

(10) Citizenship. The student understands important symbols, customs, and responsibilities that represent American beliefs and principles and contribute to our national identity. The student is expected to:
(A) identify the flags of the United States and Texas;
(B) recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag and the Pledge to the Texas Flag;
(C) identify Constitution Day as a celebration of American freedom; and
(D) use voting as a method for group decision making.

The citizens care even less about the constitution than the elected officials do. The only thing most people care about is which politician-ite is going to give them the most welfare, socialistic, “freebies”. The reason why at least one major party spends every waking moment trying to convince their constituents that they’re “victims” is because they can convince them that they are deserving of even MORE freebies…well, just as soon as you elect/re elect them, of course. The only thing worse than a snake oil salesman are the mindless shmucks that purchase the oil. (Locally, that’s what most of you have done six to seven years ago.) In 2018 America, l live in a nation filled with victim$. When money became “free,” that’s when we morphed from a representative republic into a mobocracy. BTW- am l an evil, bad and stupid person for insulting you or are YOU that person for voting for the same garbage over the last few decades for the 83rd millionth time?

Be careful how you point fingers about which party has embraced victimhood. We have a President who tweets incessantly about he himself is a victim. His rich grown kids do the same. I don’t think you’re evil or bad, but you do seem very angry.

Actually, I believe, correct me if i am wrong, that it is senior “leaders” in the Democratic Party who have (as recently as this week) espoused doing away with the electoral college. And go to a straight popular vote. They want to do this so that the liberal east and west coasts will achieve partisan control of “the people” from coast to coast. By obtaining dominance in 39 states, the power to (through constitutional conventions) do away with the amendments that conflict with the liberal agenda, and voila! We have become a socialist utopia. Talk about a threat to the “middle class”, my fellow peeps!
Now is that not the real threat to our republic?
