The word will probably be out by the time this post gets published.
It seems that our city manager will be staying on through the end of the year or maybe the end of her contract.
That makes dropping the suit against the Texas attorney general even more important (see Now you don’t see it, now you do).
As long as the city manager is in control of city staff it will be difficult to get to the truth about past events at the city.
Texas law gives us the right to review the e-mails that the city is suing to repress.
If there is nothing to hide, let us see them.
This is not about principles. Principles tend to come in bunches. If these people have any, this is the only one that I have seen.
We deserve better

This is purely supposition.
I believe the lady will remain until September this year. This will give her time to get tenure with the City. If she is let go now she will get her sick leave, vacation a years pay but no tenure. She will use this to pay off her ten years which she will miss if she leaves now. If she quits in September then leave so she will get her ten years with the City and buy her time. She cannot leave until September. She told Fl. August.
If she leaves on her own now she does not have enough hrs to buy out her contract.
As Pendregrass in Lee County,FL. said she was not serious about working there she was doing it for her raise.
Lesser better not give her a raise.
BYT MS Neil and says it is cheaper for the owners for the ballpark to let the city borrow the $$$ and she is the one who said I’ll be damned if we give them 10 million more.
Yes, we deserve better.
Again, the Times covers for MS. Wilson.
Hope Lesser takes City advertising to El Paso, INC. as well as his own advertising.

Mother,
Don’t you just love how the term public/private partnership is used, especially when the private “partners” are people who abhor taxes and government spending except when it helps them? In this case, at least one of the owners built a large part of its wealth off of federal government contracts, so they are experts at how to tap into government funds to enrich themselves. We might be short on good jobs, but we have plenty of hypocrisy to go around.
