I don’t know much about our interim city manager so I went to the city’s web site to see what I could learn.
The page below was what the site showed May 21, 2014 in the afternoon.
He must not have been a favorite of our former city manager if she did not move his office before she blew up city hall.
Even more remarkable is that city hall was imploded April 15, 2013. City documents on April 30, 2013 still show him as the director of a city department, not as a deputy city manager. In other words it would appear that the web page above was created after city hall had been blown up.
Now I guess the worm has turned and he will get her office.
Does anyone pay attention over there?
We deserve better
Brutus

Yes we deserve better but we won’t get it until we demand better in every aspect of this community from city government to school district elected officials and administrators to UTEP to UMC and the medical school. El Paso is sorely lacking true leadership, vision and direction. Those who have it are too smart to get involved at high levels due to corruption and poor leadership everywhere. A very sad state of affairs.

Voter apathy is the reason. Turnouts of 15% are a big thing here. You can get away with what they do by spreading enough campaign money around to pass your agenda and not have to worry about pushback from the electorate. There isn’t one.

The IT department gets a huge increase in budget every year. Maybe they could take some of that and hire a beginning proof reader for their web pages.
