They obviously don’t care

Some more information came to us regarding the closure of I-10 the other day.

As incredible as this sounds, the east bound folks that were routed up Executive and then south on Mesa experienced lane closures on Mesa!

There are three ways to go from the west side to downtown.

I-10 was closed.

Paisano was reduced to one lane in each direction.

Mesa had lane closures.

Is this what our west side city representative calls “all we can do”?

We deserve better

Don’t wait for Peter Pan to do anything to alleviate the traffic mess on the west side. He’s too busy being fitted for a trolley conductor’s uniform. A childhood fantasy fulfilled.

Parents don’t ignore your child dream, they will grow up and force taxpayers to pay for it.,

Sounds a lot like “Bridgegate” to me. How else can you explain the piss poor coordination of these projects?

Too much Six Sigma combined with Six P’s: Piss Poor Project Planning, Processes, and People.

Too many people with their fingers in the pie. A total absence of common sense.

Organized chaos. It’s only going to get worse on Mesa.

I prefer to look at it as an example of massive collaborative organization between multiple entities to assure an expected outcome. Just because the outcome was chaos does not mean it wasn’t well planned! Why, it had to have taken the city, TxDot, EPPD, the various construction companies, and TXDPS all working together to create the massive slowdown, which, I believe was meant to increase business along Mesa by causing everyone caught in the traffic jam to give up, park in the nearest parking lot, and go inside whatever random business it was, and shop.

You think chaos and poor planning. I think brilliant strategy to start the Christmas Holiday buying season early.

Bravo El Paso leaders! Bravo! I salute you!
