One of the problems that we are living with is the lack of action from our local district attorney when officials break the law.
In other parts of the state politicians frequently use hair-splitting transgressions of the law to harass their opponents by getting their local prosecutors to pursue charges.
It looks like our district attorney has decided to stay out of activity like this.
At what point does a violation of the law become serious enough for our district attorney to prosecute?
His inaction is enabling the lawless actions that we are seeing.

Both are running against District Attorney Jaime Esparza.
Esparza needed to be removed from office long ago. I know of many time complains have be filed against local government and Esparza refused to take the complaints, which in it’s self is unlawful, sat on the complaints and would not prosecute. Also know of one case where people were nearly killed and Esparza office refused to take the complaint. Corruption of local government starts at his door and he holds responsibility for it if nothing more than his failure to act.

Democrats protecting Democrats. Maybe we should elect a few Republicans or Independents to keep watch over these liberal give away the farm politicians.

The Republican party Big money members in El Paso have found it is easier and cheaper to buy off the Democrats in office and running for office than the Republican party running their own candidates for office. Or as we see with some run them as Democrats.

What is even worse is the LE organizations that are supposed to investigate these problems and every single one of them are MIA. Even the FBI.
And don’t expect anything from the DA because he doesn’t want to jeopardize the 200-300 thousand dollars every year the City gives him.
