Has anyone seen a report or study that tells us what it will cost each year to operate and maintain the arena?
Shouldn’t we ask city council for one?
We deserve better

Don’t bother. It would be about as honest as the numbers for the ballpark for which we continue to subsidize operating costs. And dollars are being moved from the general fund to subsidize the ballpark.

Shouldn’t the owner of the D League Basketball team pay some of this? (snark, snark)

It just don’t matter to city council. Hell, all they got to do if they run out of money is raise taxes(again).

Would. Do no good to ask them anything. They will just lie, deny, deceive, cover up, lie again.

…And what about a parking study? I suppose they’ll propose those shuttle rides from the outlying areas to “alleviate” the problem, but the problem is going to be a doozy when there are concurrent events.

All this anger and resentment, while maybe justified, is misplaced. The Dogs stadium was concocted, built and costs incurred without voter authorization. Absolutely disgraceful. But then the voters – and non-voters – were so incredibly stupid, ignorant and gullible that they approved the ridiculous bond issue that contained unnecessary projects like the stadium. It is disgusting to see all this ranting and raving after the fact.

To Natly,
I did not vote for the ballpark. I did not vote for the QOL bond that included the arena. So yes, I am entitled to rant and rave as much as I want and for long as I want, especially considering that the cost of things like the ballpark are higher than originally sold to the public. For you to suggest that everyone should keep silent is what’s really disgusting.
