This came in from a frustrated teacher some time ago and we posting it on a timely basis:
I’ve received one of these laminated tag board color advertisements at least every day last week and this week. Who is paying for this? It’s a great reminder to vote no. I am a teacher and have had no ink to print since school started but get these in the mail. BS

Well, I think all she has to do is ask her principal to buy her some ink.

Speaking from experience, I know that most campuses are overstocked with things they do not need, or – worse – cannot use – and often have waiting time to get those things that are needed. In most cases, though, the teachers usually end up buying necessities out of their own limited funds.

When I see threads such as this I am reminded of when I was on the board a fellow board member’s wife was a teacher and in May they brought her a large microwave oven for her class and she asked what it was for and was told that since she taught French she could use it to show some French cooking examples!

An EPISD employee’s brother-in-law must have “bought” a truckload of microwave ovens. Or maybe they just “fell off the truck” in his neighborhood.
