Can’t this be fixed?

*****edit*****

We were looking at the wrong property.  The post was not correct so we are taking it down.

Our apologies.

  1. I know that logic has no place when talking about city government, but why not just sell the land to EPISD, saving them tons of bucks, and making a few for the city? And, just cancel that other long term lease, and use that land for whatever it is that the city says it “wants?”

The city is used to having deal terms dictated to them by prominent campaign donors and so does not understand negotiation on behalf of the tax payer.

    Who is the leasee?

How much income does the city receive annually from the ground lease?

Did the agreement include a provision requiring the leasee to commence development by a certain date?

If the answer to the last question is yes, why has the city not sued to void the lease?

Actually there is another property at the airport that was what we were thinking about in the original post.

We just identified the wrong property.
