It looks like the Bowie bears have decided to fight:
DEAR MEDIA FRIENDS,ATTACHED IS A PRESS RELEASE REGARDING THE REFERENCED PRESS CONFERENCE. EPISD AND ITS REVOLVING DOOR PRACTICE OF REMOVING THE PRINCIPAL AT BOWIE MEETS THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY: EPISD KEEP DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTS A DIFFERENCE RESULT.THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE PRINCIPAL, AS THE “ALTERNATIVE FACTS” EPISD PUTS OUT WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE. THE REAL PROBLEM IS TWO-FOLD, THE LACK OF SUPPORT AND LACK OF RESOURCES EPISD GIVES BOWIE. RECENTLY REMOVED BOWIE PRINCIPAL DR. WARMACK IS THE LATEST “SCAPEGOAT” FOR THE FAILURES OF THE DISTRICT AT BOWIE HIGH SCHOOL. WE INTEND TO BRING THIS ISSUE AND MANY MORE TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PUBLIC AND CONFRONT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND SUPERINTENDENT OVER THEIR FAILURES TO PROVIDE THE NEEDED SUPPORT AND RESOURCES FOR BOWIE TO IMPROVE ACADEMICALLY.WE INVITE YOU TO COVER THIS PRESS CONFERENCE, WHICH WILL BE HELD IN FRONT OF THE EPISD HQ ON BOEING BLVD AT 4 PM. THEREAFTER, WE WILL SIGN UP TO ADDRESS THE BOARD. WE WILL DISTRIBUTE MORE MATERIAL AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE.
The meeting was held a few weeks ago. Does anyone know what is happening?
We deserve better
Brutus

I can see a yuge part of their problem. Whoever wrote that all caps notice of a press release has a serious problem in communicating via the English language! Somebody help them!

Unnamed sources. Totally unbelievable. Donald Trump would never allow this behavior. “”They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name,” Trump said. “Let their name be put out there.”

The above press release was written by Arunulfo Hernandez, Jr. A Bowie alumn who is a practicing lawyer in Sacramento. He and a group of Bowie Alumni are forwarding their issues to the TEA next as EPISD continues to have people believe that they have the Bowie students best interests at heart. This of course coming from Fenenbock and Cabrera whose children attend Coronado, which was awarded a $74,000,000 school makeover while Bowie gets nada from the bond. A clear example of socioeconomic racism.

Please do not expect a lot of votes in your race for D2 City Council when you use words like “socioeconomic racism.” Those who know what your buzz words mean, will vote for someone else.

Was is socioeconomic racism when in years past Bowie got a first class auditorium and gym and Coronado got nada?

Having watched what happens to taxpayer dollars for 45 years in El Paso I think I can truly say, that if anyone thinks that South El Paso schools have been treated as equals with other EPISD, schools they are either ignorant or stupid.

Once again Mr. Weber dead on! We need you back on the board to fix this bizarro version of EPISD. It’s time to put kids first again!

Bowie and Coronado got identical auditoriums built with the same capacity that year. I believe Coronado named theirs after Capshaw, however it was completed before Bowie’s with the same bond issue. Coronado usually goes first in bond issue projects, maybe they went in reverse alphabetical order.
