Good start

It seems that we now have a city representative who is trying to help the citizens.

From the Tuesday, September 18, 2018 city council agenda:

30.3. Discussion and action to request that the City Manager direct staff to provide a presentation and update to City Council on any and all resources, actions, and current plans to mitigate the traffic congestion on Mesa Street and other arterials affected by the GO 10 infrastructure reconstruction project, to include impact on the Sun Metro Brio program.

  Representative Cissy Lizarraga, (915) 212-0008

This is better.

Wow, only 6 years after construction started…this is better?

My favorite instance was when the Sunland on ramp was closed and the Resler alternative had one lane shut down for some other maintenance. The city NEVER seems to think these things thru. You might think our Dist# 1 rep was on it, but no. Too busy rhapsodizing about how the trolley will remind us of ouselves.

And the interesting thing is that for the last couple of weeks congestion has been better. They finally figured out how to time the traffic lights. But, hey there is an election coming up and folks are talking about alternatives to Cissy, so I guess she feels this is better late than never.

Maybe by the time a solution is found construction will be done.

Too little too late. She finally did something but after almost a full term of doing nothing I am voting for someone else in November.
