Brio bus stops

People have contacted me and asked why the Brio bus stops have to be special.

Actually they don’t.

The one at Mesa and Argonaut is a regular bus stop with a Brio sign.

What everyone should know is the contracts for Sun Metro and the LIFT are out to bid. So let’s put the RFP out during the holidays so there aren’t many qualified folks who are willing to respond by the early February due date. That way the present management teams can continue to be rewarded for deminishing ridership and increased cost per passenger.

Look at the poster on the end of the bus stop in that photo. It says: Every Lane Is A Bike Lane. If every lane is a bike lane, why do we keep spending money to create special bike lanes.

Trust me. You’re wrong. There is not a 10′ cement foundation in the right-hand lane at this stop as there is at some Brio stops.
