I went to the District 4 meeting at Metro 31 last Wed. City representatives were there to give presentations on the Nov. 5 Bond for Police and Fire. About 15 people showed up. The police and fire departments had representatives there. The majority of the people were taking the City to task about all the tax raises this year. It was so bad that Dr. Sam Morgan our district 4 councilman called an end to the meeting without the police or fire representatives given an opportunity to speak. We should not have to put up with all the taxes that the city and county wants us too.
The mayor, city council, city manager and their special interest friends don’t think they should have to put up with us pesky taxpayers. They would be much happier if we would just shut up and give them our money for their subsidies and vanity projects.
Go by the back lot at the EPPD Westside Command Center any day any time and you will see a lot full of PD vehicles. I asked and was told they belonged to supervisors, off duty shifts and management. Must be about 40 vehicles all the time. AND WE NEED A BOND TO BUY MORE??
Robert Francis O’Rourke would like everyone to consider buying tampons for women who don’t have them when they need them. Menstrual Equity is a thing and O’Rourke is on top of it. He mentions detention centers and prisons, but those people get them free…
In other news, somebody should tell Robert Francis O’Rourke that men menstruate too…

Methinks the moderators are a bit biased if posts about things a local politician literally states publicly and are reported on a number of news outlets are somehow considered an affront to their senses.
