AB - <p><img src="In the present work, the interacting boson model (IBM-1) was used in the calculations of the energy ratios, energy levels and energy bands for eveneven isotopes of Yb(A=168-172). The dynamical symmetries for the isotopes under study have been determined, which is found to be SU(5)-SU(3).The well-deformed even-even nuclei in general populate in high-spin states, so that the low-lying bands will extinctions to a high spin also. The energy ratios of Yb (A=168-172) is the (2 ) (4 ) 1 1 E E , (2 ) (6 ) 1 1 E E and (2 ) (8 ) 1 1 E E will give a big values. The energy spectrum according to the sequences of energy bands (g, β, γ)give very good agreement of the level sequence of each band with the typical sequence of ground band (0+, 2+, 4+,……), β – band (0+, 2+, 4+,……), and γ – band (2+, 3+,4+, 5+,……).
