A suggestion to the El Paso Times:
Write a story about what has happened to the case where our west-side city representative was under investigation on suspicion of threatening a city employee.
For those of you who don’t know about it, please read this.
The incident occurred last October. We have heard nothing.
Is this a cover-up?
We deserve better
Brutus
Yep, it’s a cover-up. The simple fact that nothing else has been said by either the city or the media makes that pretty clear. The fact that the EP Times hasn’t even run a follow-up, saying for example that the city refused comment, tells you the Times is complicit. Bad behavior by our public officials is accepted. We encourage it when there are no consequences for them.

Answer us obvious, they will stall until she reached end of term, by then people will forget and statements will be made that it was a one time incident. By then, IF, there is a hearing it will a 3months probation and that it’s.
So the example will result in special people get special treatment. Officials ARE above the law.

Sometimes I wonder if simple incompetence is often misinterpreted as conspiracy. It is pretty obvious to the readers here that the EPT is not too much better in quality than the average high school newspaper. To me, it is easier to believe that the “journalists” at EPT are simply inept at what they do. This is apparent in the myriad editorials where they contradict themselves, not knowing in one week what they wrote about a few weeks pervious.
Occam’s Razor suggests that given two choices, the explanation that is the easiest is probably the most likely.
For my money, the most likely is that the Times is just incompetent.

Hey…If it takes the FBI/CIA/State Dept/ USA Congress 2 years plus to figure out what happened in Benghazi then Who knows how long it will take for the investigation of an El Paso Councilperson….then again nobody died here…..
