General hospital right here in El Paso

The drama continues.

Our county hospital resembles the popular television soap opera.

The board of managers of our county hospital was said to be drafting a reprimand of our county hospital administrator.

We learned this after our county judge and at least one county commissioner asked for the resignation of some of the members of the board.

The board meeting that was held to consider the reprimand turned into a cheer leading event with the public comment portion of the meeting being dominated by speakers who told of us the wonderful job our hospital administrator has done.

It seems that the next move will have to come from our county judge and the commissioners.

Will they follow through or was all of their public posturing just for show?

We deserve better

The very same thing happened at the public comment meeting for the clinics. My doctor sacrificed a day from his practice to be there while Valenti packed the hearing with his phalanx of suits to crowd out the medical community’s testimony.

This seems to be a Valenti tactic and another reason to sack this guy.

Mr. Valenti’s good works overshadows any EP County Commissioners’ great works like the never finished Ballpark or half empty Ascarate pond & taxes raises!

  4. They are very aware that the attention of the voting public (that is, the part that bothers with voting and staying informed) is not much longer than that of the general populace. So, they are counting these things blowing over before they actually have to do anything.
