Opt out of some web advertising

For those of you who are annoyed by the advertising that seems to be customized for your viewing on your web browser, you might want to opt out.

Follow this url:  http://www.digitaladvertisingalliance.org/

At the bottom right of the main screen there is an option to opt out.

It appears that the process is specific to each browser on each machine that you use, so you may have to do this more than once.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out.

As I got faster. . . and faster. . . . computers over the years, the ads seem to be getting more and more memory hogs.
Seems like the ads are more and more complicated going from still ads . . . to moving and dancing ads . . . to now. . . full color wide screen short movies, tying up / using up memory.

I will NEVER buy anything from anyone who invades my computer with moving ads. They are annoying and I am trying to WORK here.
The advertisers are sold this bill of goods about moving ads.
I dont think ANYONE enjoys them or appreciates them.
And, like me, may turn people off to the extent of NEVER doing business with the place that have those moving ads.

A few years back, the El Paso Times started sticking these big color ads.(Gummy Stickers) . . . right on top of the front page of the newspaper, blocking out main articles. When they started that I called several of the advertisers (Charlottes Furniture, Dick Poe included, and more as they came out) and told them I will NEVER do business with you now, as you are participating in ruining my newspaper subscription.

(No, the ads DO NOT Peel Off safely. No matter what the El Paso Times say. Yes, I called them also so they would know how annoying these glued on ads are.) Seems like they REALLY dont discuss things before doing them or how it will effect others.
