Our county hospital’s board of managers has just given our hospital administrator a pay raise.
I guess scoring a 71 is an indicator of excellence over there. Why else would he deserve a pay raise?
An annual bonus is being considered.
Below is a link to a web page that tells us who the members of the board are:
These people are not in touch with what the community thinks of the mess at the hospital, or at least what the people that I speak with think.
These people live in our community. We need to be certain to tell them what we think.
We deserve better

Last year they said that they were contractually obligated to give Valenti his raise and bonus. Now that we’ve all seen his contract, we wonder what excuse they’ll use. The hospital failed its first inspection and almost permanently lost its accreditation! That should have gotten him fired, not given him more money!

Back when I was in school, 75 was a passing grade. 71 and you flunked the course!

Nothing will happen at the county, except lip service. The county has shown repeatedly that they will do what they want period.
To believe otherwise is naive. How do yo think how we got to this point ? I am beginning to think this guy knows more than he’s telling.

We need to get rid of the people on these boards and replace them with “working” people who know what it means to earn a buck not give it away

Actually, by the way, a 71 did not mean a ‘D,’ but it was a solid ‘C.’ Remember, 70-80 was C, 80-90 was B, and 90-100 for an A???

In my schools 70-72 was a D, below that was an F.
