The Times takes the weekend off

The Monday, August 29, 2016 “A” section of the El Paso Times was an example of how little local content the newspaper offers.

Juan Gabriel had died the day before and the front page had two articles written by local reporters.

There were no other local articles in the entire section.  Instead there were five from the Associated Press and two from USA Today.  Even the editorial was written by USA Today, not the local editorial staff.

When companies that are considering relocation to El Paso look at quality of life, local newspapers are part of what they look at.

We deserve better

  1. I know I’ve said this before, but just fyi, the “El Paso Times” is no longer a local newspaper. It is simply the local version of “USA Today.” We have English language local rag.

Give the paper a break. There isn’t much to write about in this town. Check out El Paso Inc. Sometimes there is not one story in there worth reading.
