5 Responses to City moving back to 5 day work week
Does that Include the POLICE or the Mayor, Silly Council won’t provide the money to pay THEM, repair, provide vehicles and so they are still only working couple hours a week, in SOME parts of town. Very few Police on the streets anymore and Texas DPS Troopers doing THEIR job now. The city has WASTED, SPENT itself into bankruptcy and can only survive from one tax INCREASE to the next.
The five day week was the most self-serving bureaucratic nonsense I encountered in my duty tour at the city and I refused to allow it in my department that worked a five day week and actually seven with technical staff on rotating standby.
Finally. Have been asking my rep for the return to 5 day work week for several years. This is progress. Any business/municipality that really wants to be accessible needs to be open at least 5 days/week, maybe 6. Any less than says policies are for those who work there, not the public. Banks figured this out a long time ago. A point for Margo.

Margo started advocating for this soon after he was elected, so give him points for this one.

Great…now more traffic downtown 5 days a week and good for the local downtown eateries.
