Water or Coke?

 Water or Coke?

WATER

#1.   75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated..
(Likely applies to half the world population)

#2.     In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak
that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3.   Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as 3%.

#4.  One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs
for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
 Washington study.

#5.     Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

#6.   Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of
water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain
for up to 80% of sufferers.

#7.   A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on
the computer screen or on a printed page.

#8..   Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of
colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast
cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop
bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water
 you should drink every day?

COKE

#1.   In many states the highway patrol carries
two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from
the highway after a car accident.

#2.     You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke
and it will be gone in two days.

#3.    To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the
toilet bowl and let the ‘real thing’ sit for one hour,
then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes
 stains from vitreous china.

#4.   To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

#5.   To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour
a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble
 away the corrosion.

#6.  To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola
to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

#7.   To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into
the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix
with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

#8.  To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke
into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run
through a regular cycle.. The Coca-Cola will help loosen
grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
 windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

#1     the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid.
It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric
acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major
contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.

#2.   To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the
commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place
cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

#3.   The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean
engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water?

or Coke?

  2. Did anybody bother to fact check this ridiculous article? See what Snopes has had to say about it for a good long while: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/water-works-2/

Both that claims about the horrors of Coke and the need for excessive amounts of water are out of whack! If you’re thirsty, you need liquid. If not? Ya don’t! It is a simple as that!

l suppose l could find out, except l don’t feel like wasting a steak. l remember when Coke used to taste pretty good, this was before they substituted sugar with corn syrup and now most sodas, cookies and candies taste like corn syrup – yuk. l have to confess that ever since l switched from Coke to beer that l do in fact feel healthier, or perhaps l’m just too buzzed to realize how unhealthy l am. Cheers!

If you wonder about the problems with EPISD education these days, consider that this information was provided by a former president of the EPISD board. Coke will NOT dissolve a nail. But why do research when it’s so easy to cut and paste? I’m sure there are other alternative facts are there in this piece.

If the judgement is against EPISD for Dan being a former EPISD Trustee then what is the judgement against Brutus for posting Dan’s comments. Is there any requirement to research before publishing?

Brutus said Dan sent this in. Dan didn’t even attribute it to a third party. But feel free to throw yourself across the streetcar tracks to defend Dan and EPISD.

Not defending Dan or EPISD. Seems like you sure are defending Brutus. Mighty defensive for just asking a question.

BS Detector, 16 years gone, forward a funny article about people should drink more water for good health, and I am responsible for EPISD troubles today? WOW! Such a great researcher! Thanks though I enjoyed it. 🙂
Just shows how dumb so of the public are!

    Mexico wrestles with this: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/14/world/americas/mexico-coca-cola-diabetes.html

While a Coke plant takes 300,000 gallons of water a day at the edge of the town, residents have almost no clean water and have to rely on Coke. Diabetes rates are soaring. A crazy world.

    I think the answer here is. . . .
Water is great for you !
    and
Coke is a “Treat” for special occasions and originally intended as a Once a day or Once a week “treat”.
So, Coke, . . .only in moderation. (Not 3-4-5 Cokes a day.)

Coke does clean toilets and will dissolve a nail in a few days.
I’ve done that experiment back in the 1970’s.

Diet Coke causes leg pain and when I dropped all colored-flavored sodas/ Coke or Pepsi, my leg pain went away.
Diet sweeteners in Diet Coke cause leg pain.

Many of the statements made are false. Coke, or any other drink humans consume, will not dissolve any kind of steak in two days. This kind of blind falsism about things you don’t like is stupid. Like calling Conservatives Nazis because you don’t like them. Actual Nazis were German Socialists who either condoned, promoted or participated in the murder of millions of people. After much research, I am unable to find any association of conservatism with socialism, much less any information regarding mass-murder of entire populations.

If you have to fabricate evidence to validate your way of thinking perhaps you should review your base assumptions. Coke probably is worse for humans than clean water. So is beer and milk. But Coke is hardly a super-acid that people somehow get tricked into consuming (and somehow survive).
