An attaboy for the city

I heard a local the other day telling a story that he considered surprising.

Evidently while crossing a major street he found one of the pedestrian crossing signal buttons to be inoperative.

He called the city’s 311 number and reported the issue.

Within a week the problem had been fixed.

Isn’t it a shame that he was surprised?

Maybe things are improving over there.

We deserve better

Can we replace city council reps with 311 robots? The artificial intelligence of robots is better than no intelligence.

    El Paso 311 is responsive

YES, the city’s 311 number if a good place to report problems. I’ve reported potholes and faded road stripping and have seen results.

BRUTUS, thanks for posting this suggestion!

So far, I’ve found 311 to be the one thing this city does right. I’ve used it to request mosquito spraying and it works. It also works for pothole complaints.
