Another hidden tax increase

The 2020 city proposed city budget proposes an raising the environmental services department (garbage) fees from $74.1 million to $91.3 million.

Get ready for your garbage bill to go up.

This is just another tax increase.

    It doesn’t count as a tax but as a fee so they get away with it. I recall when rubbish collection was an urban service like police and fire, not separately levied. Then again, I also recall when trains were pulled by steam engines 🙂
