We should be seeing initial figures about school enrollment very soon.
EPISD has been losing about 1,000 students a year and that is causing significant problems with their financing.

I heard that on line registration was a huge mess and they are still sorting it out. I don’t have any facts to support this but maybe you have contacts that could comment on this.

I had no problem with the online enrollment. It was quick and efficient. If there were any issues, it was with the campus itself.

I think to give an opinion like that you need to have at least some facts… I registered my two children online in less than 20 minutes. Now, enrollment is a totally different topic. It’s probably shrinking, but that’s expected given the growth patterns in our city.

Well they have announced a TAX “Cut” for the next tax cycle. Watch out, El Pasoans! ! THEY are going to do something else to US.

Is there every any news or analysis on any other school districts ? A lot of people that read this blog are not even in EPISD? What about the other two major ones, YISD, SISD. Why are we giving them a free pass essentially ?

Does that number account for the THOUSANDS of Illegals they will want to send to school?? Increase their stats, their MONEY wants from El Paso taxpayers?
