This will never stop as long as we have a Tax and Spend mayor and city council. And if you ask your councilman what this is being used for they will lie right to your face. This is wherever and whenever they wish to spend it. If you get the whole agenda PDF from the city meeting page for agendas to be discussed next Tuesday. You will find there is also 380 tax rebates totaling $3,747,565. But hey, it is only taxpayers money.
Also on the agenda for 11/13/2019 is this agenda item:Discussion and action on a Resolution that the City Manager be authorized to sign an agreement between the City of El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, to sell a decommissioned 1993 Pierce Lance, 100′ aerial and a 1994 Pierce Lance, 1500 GPM Pumper, which is no longer required or used by the City of El Paso Fire Department, to be used exclusively for firefighting purposes in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Wow, wonder what they are being sold for and where will the money go from the sale of this fire department equipment end up? We don’t need better, we have the good old boy network going for us. That, and people who are too lazy to vote and find out what they are voting for.

That equipment is good enough that City of Juarez wants will buy it and use it, but it’s not good enough for the EPFD. What does that tell you?

They don’t need a public vote on that 100 million.
