Times: The voters are not competent

The Times wrote an editorial the other day about the negotiations between our city and the firefighters.

They ended with this:

We encourage the city and union negotiators to reach an agreement quickly and take the contract out of voters’ hands.

We deserve better

I’m sure they are also glad that taxpayers did not have a say in the city’s purchase of the Times building.

  3. A. As if El Pasoans bother to vote. B. Can’t let the voters have a say in things around here; it might cause us to spend money more wisely. C. If the voters did vote, God knows what they’d give to the firefighters. Maybe a living wage, and a decent, secure pension plan, or improved working conditions. Can’t have any of that.
