They’ve probably decided that they want to repurpose some of the planned bond proceeds before the new bond has even been voted on. Or they want to sell some “excess property” to a friendly developer. You could tell from one of the recent interviews with Cabrera that they’re itching to do some real estate deals.

yes, hunt or foster want jeff because its right across from umc and the med school. franklin’s getting a football stadium(just one of the perks) so it will make it more attractive for canutillo students to go there or coronado since margo already got “open enrollment” pushed through at episd. this helps hunts properties(ex. cimmarron) and future properties north of franklin. this is all a real estate move by episd to help certain people and headed by margo, carmen and few others from the baseball deal. of course wilson is at the cad so guess who will benefit on property tax evaluations there ? there is no reason to vote for a bond when you are downsizing, period. im sure there are some other properties the “group” is wanting other than the ones mentioned, but i just havent though of it yet. thinking about the construction bond and how large it will be im assuming only 1 local company could even bid on it without it taking away from other projects. that would be jordon-foster construction. the same company owned by the person who donated around 50k to support the bond, right ?

This is where Team Mountainstar now relocated from City Hall to EPISD really gets to play ball.

The real agendas for these bonds are probably all “back door deals” a la Wilson.

“Use of Future Bond Proceeds,”. Ain’t this just some double talk that really means “We going to spend the money what we ain’t even sure we going to get.”?

Brutus,
Not everything is a conspiracy. Here is what was created at that meeting: The Board pledged, in writing, to spend the money from this bond EXACTY as it is being presented to voters:

And they made promises in a resolution that they will not be able to keep because of information that was posted on another thread.

Why did their meeting have to be in closed session? Wouldn’t we be more comfortable if we had heard what was actually said?

I am sure it has something to do with consultation with an attorney. However, all one has to do is call the district’s PR office to get an answer to that question, or ask the board president who I believe reads this blog.

And city council and city management also pledged that the ballpark would only cost $50 million, but that pledge, too, was before the vote that only gave taxpayers a choice of paying for it themselves or with a hotel tax. Before the vote, Mountainstar also pledged to donate its profits to charity.
