EPISD–something is in the air

Word on the street is that the Tuesday, January 16, 2018 EPISD board of trustees meeting (or special meeting–they will have both) will be heated.

Fireworks may be a better term.

We deserve better

Items I see. Construction Manager at Risk. Constructing new administrative offices in downtown, expending more bond money to acquire more land and buildings instead of using excess land at Northeast warehouse complex. Closing an elementary school. Creating a Transformational Zone (Charter School District within a district?). Revising the Superintendent’s contract and giving him another raise.

Probably just going to discuss how much the NEXT Bond will be. How much the NEXT tax increase will be and how to waste MORE of OUR money. Just one big “Society” of waste and corruption.

Let’s not forget that Cabrera has said that he has one of the hardest jobs in America. Maybe they feel like they need to increase his pay.

I think Brutus has the scoop on what will be discussed, but is not sharing.

At almost HALF-MILLION$$$ a year, Cabrera is OVERPAID and UNDER worked? If you call what he does “work”. And then he’s got that almost BILLION$$$ slush fund. Why would he even need to work, just take what he wants from that. Thought maybe HE is financing Dori Fennenbocks politico campaign. Ain’t El Taxo great??? 🙂
