In Vote by mail I promised to get back to you after I sent in a form that the state democrat’s executive committee sent me.
Yesterday I received an envelope with five documents and two return envelopes.
There were a lot of rules and admonitions.
Ultimately it came down to filling out the ballot, placing it in a ballot envelope, then placing the ballot envelope in a carrier envelope, and then signing my name on the carrier envelope.
I suppose that when they receive it they will look at the carrier envelope and my signature and mark the voter rolls to show that I have voted. They will then probably open the carrier envelope, extract the ballot envelope, open the ballot envelope, extract the ballot and send the ballot on to be counted.
We deserve better
Brutus
I’m sorry? What am I missing? You conclude your report with your standard “We deserve better.” Why? Did you find the process too complicated? Do you think it needs improvement? What, exactly would make it better?

I believe that is just his standard signature. It does not really mean we deserve better when it comes to the process he described.

As long as John’s been reading this blog and commenting, you would think he would know that. But then again……….

Well, if you had been reading as carefully as you imply I have not, you’d know that he does *not* close each and every post with that “standard signature.”

We “deserve better?” I see an ad for a surgical center that says “get the care you deserve.” What they really mean, and what Brutus may mean, is “we WANT something better.” What we “deserve” is unknown.
