So who is this “Leadership Training” going to target? Teachers or the Superintendent, “Bench Warmers” on Boeing? They are closing schools, less students, so suppose they have to find new, inventive ways to waste OUR money. City Hall, Commissioners, EPISD all the same. Waste, tax, spend, tax some more.

It’s pretty safe to say that if they are asking for proposals, they already have a specific vendor in mind and the entire bidding process is just a sham. Sole-source is always their first course of action, but if they are worried about things looking crooked this close to an election, then they will go the route of a sham bidding process.

Yes, they aren’t bidding on a commodity like chicken nuggets for lunch or new school busses. If this is an RFP, then they already know who they want to implement this program. Look not at what they are doing, but how they do it. This will be an EPISD pre-determined budding process all the way. The board will go along as usual, which is why I will vote against my board member at the first opportunity.

This is the formal start of the privatization of EPISD. It will be voted on at a “Special Board Meeting” held mid-day, tomorrow so there will be no opportunity for taxpayers, parents and employees to speak.
This is one reason, EP AFT members do not support the TRE.

Ross, privatization was started in the EPISD when Margo hired Cabrera, it has all been planned! And if anyone thinks that the Students are the most important part of the EPISD they have not been paying attention. 😦

Cabrera is constantly shilling for engage2learn and then there’s this article from last year. engage2learn might not be funneling cash to EPISD administrators now, but odds are that they will be rewarded somewhere, sometime.

In Previous years this figure was not present in any EPISD data base. It shows up last year and is very interesting.

These 8 positions appeared just last year and at an average of $68,626 it makes you wonder why people would want to teach!

For the last 13 years+, the students have been at the bottom of concern by the EPISD administration. Right there even with concern for their employees.
This new program will cost millions of dollars. It is just a tiny cog in the vast EPISD waste machine.

EPISD, Cabrera, HIS Board are no different than City Hall, Commissioners, Public Officials. Tax, waste, spend, tax some more. “We can always TAKE more from the people in El Taxo, no matter how much WE waste, spend”.

If this is geared towards improving district leadership that will trickle down to students and teachers, from spending, communication, decision making, and collaboration between departments, I’m all for it. Clearly no one on the inside has been capable of this in over 5 years. Top leaders each have their own agenda and vision. The hostility among them is very evident and highly unprofessional. Campus administrators are unclear of who’s in charge anymore and what items they really will be held “accountable” for because it’s impossible to manage them all. Something’s gotta give.
