The footnote says: “Amounts listed are preliminary estimates subject to change. Actual use of any approved bond funds will be determined by subsequent action of City Council”.

The city is insolvent. The only way to stop this insanity is to get anyone you know to get out to vote. The next step is to get rid of this mayor, city manager, and the city council. We need some educated, dynamic public servants that have common sense. If this seems unrealistic think about the mounting debt, how will it be paid? The drain on property owners has legally been slowed down, where does this administration plan to draw funds from? No respect for the people who have truly invested in this community. This is why people leave.
I am not responsible for any Duffus in City county or State representing El Paso TX or El Paso County.
You get what you voted for so keep voting straight Dem
The red team is no better than the blue team. Mayor Dee Margo is a longtime Republican as are Woody Hunt and Paul Foster and others who keep screwing El Paso taxpayers for their personal benefit.
ENOUGH ! ! Closed on my new home in South-Central Texas on 13 September. Moving trucks on Friday. Lower Property taxes, lower ALL TAXES, FEES, gas 50-60 cents a gallon CHEAPER, Vehicle Registration, LESS. Auto Insurance, LESS. REPAIRED , replaced streets, roads. POLICE actually working the streets, highways. POLITICIANS respond to, are ACCOUNTABLE to the TAXPAYERS, voters. El Taxo POLITICIANS are just one big criminal organization, a Cartel, that does nothing but screw over the PEOPLE of El Paso. HAPPINESS, after 30 years is El Taxo in the rear view mirror.
hello anonymous, congrats on your decision. wish you could’ve stayed and let city council and the mayor and others know how you feel. wish you could’ve stayed and maybe ran for office or supported a good candidate to replace these officials. wish you could’ve stayed and helped fight for better conditions all around and especially continued fighting for lower property taxes and less spending on needless perks. maybe you could write some letters and emails directly to these individuals before or soon after you move. i think you speak for a lot of us.
Of course they are! They have been liberally spending a blank check ever since that stupid QoL bond issue passed in 2012!
