EPISD debt service

EPISD is having a board meeting Thursday, March 12, 2020.

One of the items they will discuss is their debt service fund budget projections.

Here is what the backup material for the agenda item shows:

They evidently don’t want the public to know.

We deserve better

Nothing will change until the public changes their actions.

I did not vote for the QOL bonds or the EPISD bonds. My point was that we don’t always get what we vote for/against. It’s this little thing call majority rule.

It’s never too late to start voting. Voting is one of the only ways to get the attention of a politician.

Anyway, I think Brutus is on to something. Maybe EPISD accountants are incompetent and didn’t have the material ready in time to go out with the public notice. On the other hand, maybe they don’t want people to see the material. It’s a daytime meeting so you know they don’t want people there. Well, not people with jobs at least – especially people that work for EPISD!!

Come to think of it, do our board members have jobs that they can get away from during the day? That kind of limits the type of person who could serve on the board if you can’t do it AND hold a daytime job. And come to think of it, it’s it the Super’s job to attend meeting in the evening? I guess we should just be quiet and thankfully take what we get…
