We read the other day that EPISD took some money out of its rainy day fund to pay for teacher training relative to literacy.
Has someone invented a new method of teaching reading and writing?
Shouldn’t we expect that college trained teachers have learned how to teach these subjects?
Why did the school board elect to do this?

It seems that congress is considering eliminating the personal income tax deductions for state and local taxes.
That would cause citizen involvement to lower local taxes.
Maybe that is a good idea.

Back in 2014 whichever group was in charge of EPISD established community service requirements for high school graduation.
At the Wednesday, November 1, 2017 board of trustees meeting the following was considered:
