Red are when Board of Managers was in charge but Trustees had been elected.  I am sure they were taken out to dinner to make up for not being allowed to take office until May of 2015.  Superintendent Cabrera arrived in Sept. of 2013.  Of course the Superintendents contract says he will be paid for all food and other expenses.  Guess he loves steaks!

Don’t tell the truth when a lie is more convenient

So which is it?

Is the city attorney retiring, resigning, or being terminated?

If she is retiring as she has said, the six months of salary that the city has agreed to pay her is a violation of the state constitution according to a recent article in the Times.

Resigning would also make the payout illegal.

If however she is being terminated, her contract evidently provides for six months of severance.

Can’t anyone be honest about this?

What else should we expect?

City council will hold one of their special meetings Monday, May 14, 2018 to discuss the leaving of the city attorney.

She claims that she is retiring yet the agenda asks city council to ratify the separation and release agreement.

People retiring from jobs generally don’t get separation pay.  One story circulating around is that she received poor performance appraisals from city council this time around.  Time will tell.

The very next agenda item is the selection of an interim city attorney.

Happy Mother’s Day

Well another Mother’s day is on the horizon. God pulled out all the stops when he created these special spirits. This depicts my thoughts about Mothers.
What Is It About Mothers?
Why are they so kind a loving?
Why are they so forgiving?
Why are they so caring?…
Why is their embrace so comforting?
Why do they always know your pain?
Why does this love and kindness last forever?
Why do they have that re-assuring smile?
Why do they see the things we can’t?
How can one be so devoted to a child?
How is they can make the hurt go away?
How do they nurture and counsel us so wisely?
How can they do so much and still have time for love?
How do they dedicate their lives to serving others?
How can they have so much tolerance and forgiveness?
How can they hold a baby for so long and not grow weary?
What is it about them that makes us want to be near them?
I have pondered these questions and have come to only one conclusion.The compoistion of a Mother’s genes is primarily love, compassion, tenderness and understanding…
Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers and to all who have been the recipient of their love.
