More losses to come at our county hospital

If things go as planned our county hospital only expects to lose $8.3 million next year.

Aren’t we lucky?

We deserve better

  1. Did anyone notice that they gave Valenti a bonus again last year? The El Paso Times buried it in their story about how he ‘mislead’ the County Commissioners about bonuses for UMC employees. What the crap?! And then they reported everywhere about how UMC had such a great financial year last year.

  2. Sad El Pasoan says:

Salaries and benefits increased by $17 million! Employee benefits at UMC are one of the highest and most attractive city wide. On an average EP taxpayers have not received pay raises in a long time and have no retirement or health insurance plans at work. What is wrong with this picture?

  3. Debt Hangover says:

I have taken the precaution of hanging my head over the toilet. I will be ready for Escobar’s bs about “its all good”.

  4. Fed Up says:

We, the taxpayers, need to get a referendum on the ballot to either close these institutions or force them to be self sustaining.

  5. Jerry K says:

Where’s the “rental income” from EPCH 🙂
