I don’t see any staff names, only board member names. Of course, they more or less are his staff since they behave as though they work for him. It’s nice to know that they have extra time to spend on this bullshit.

EPISD 20/20 Strategic Plan 2015-2016 Change District to an ACTIVE LEARNING and PROJECT-BASED LEARNING District with GOALS to ACCOMPLISH by 2020. First Goal mentioned in Document.
“Emphasize early literacy to ensure all students are reading at grade level by 3rd grade”
.
It is now 2020 and the EPISD Board of Trustees have a new set of GOALS
Board Goals
• Early Childhood Literacy Board Outcome
The percent of 3rd-grade students that score meets grade level or above on STAAR Reading will increase from 46% to 60% by June 2024.
So let me see if I am understanding what is happening in the EPISD. We get a new superintendent that does not have Superintendent or even High School Principal credentials that employs a completely new educational program (purchased) that requires millions of dollars of Staff development for our teachers and promises great things for our students such as the El Paso 20/20 100% of 3rd graders meeting the State reading requirement. And now it is 2020 and we find out that only 46% of our students are MEETing the State standard but we should not worry because in 4 years we are aiming and have a goal of 60%!
So YES, anyone that can fool the public this completely deserves to be named Superintendent of the Year.

Charlatan of the Year would be more appropriate.

It is TASB Texas Association of School Boards, the dues are over $10,000 but they do keep our policy book up to date. In my opinion they work more for the administration than they do for the school board.
