This came in from Brownfield:
Brutus,
What a coincidence!
Just days after EPISD, one of our former mayors, and the Times complimented our former state senator for his fight against a “large criminal ring” the FBI has arrested five former EPISD employees on charges relating to the almost six year old cheating scandal.
Somehow the local media people were on hand at the very moment the accused were taken to jail.
I don’t know what these people did or did not do.
I do know that they deserve a fair and objective process.
What bothers me is that it looks like they are being tried in the court of public opinion instead of in a courtroom. Actually their chances of making it into the courtroom are slim.
More on that in upcoming posts.

This came in from Helen Marshall:
Take a drive to Mesa and Shadow Mountain, where the new 22-storey building with “ 228 luxury apartments and 219 luxury hotel rooms” will be built, with 715 parking spaces. The City Plan Commission (or rather, the City “Plan” Commission) approved it unanimously despite recommendations from the city plan department itself to reduce the height.
Would someone be kind enough to explain to me why we must endure construction on I-10, Trans Mountain, Doniphan, and Stanton all at the same time?

Something is brewing.
The Times printed a letter to the editor on Saturday, April 23, 2015 from our former mayor who now resides in Oregon.
The letter praised our former state senator saying “He stood almost alone in that fight against a large criminal ring”.
That may be true but the timing of the letter and the recent recognition that EPISD gave our former senator lead me to believe that something is about to happen.
Why after all of this time are we seeing this? Could it be that something is about to happen?
We deserve better
